TMJ Myofascial Release
TMJ therapy targeted treatment for tension relief
Service Description
Using trigger point techniques, the aim is to reduce tension, stress, and pain in the face, jaw, and neck. Although TMJ is a tough condition to tackle and everyone is different, we customize a treatment plan in order to re-train the masseter muscles so that one would stop unconsciously clench or grind. Many have sought and found relief after decades of TMJ discomfort, it’s something you do not have to live with, find what works for you and start sleeping and living more peacefully. Feel more rested, youthful, and less stiff after just one session. Includes hot compression, neck stretches, jaw exercises for TMJ pressure point relief, intra-oral buccal massage (optional), shoulder & neck and massage ending with a soothing facial cleanse to remove all facial oil. 1 hour session - Includes consultation time. Please note: Treatment is for therapeutic purposes only and does not replace medical advice. If you’re experiencing extreme pain that is very sensitive to the touch or locked jaw, please seek medical attention asap. If in doubt, please ask your Doctor if massage therapy is appropriate for you. Our primary objective is to break up the knotty trigger points in the facial, head, neck, and shoulder muscles. Chronic tension, headaches, and migraines often accompany TMJ and face pain conditions. However, increasing blood flow to the affected areas can play a significant role in eliminating these painful issues. In addition, we strive to decrease inflammation through trigger point manipulation, which supports the body's natural healing process. **To book an add on service please put in message box when booking or call/text in advance. Add on services will need to be approved by therapist and you will get an email to confirm. This is a female only spa service at this time. Our therapist who works for our male clients is currently on break until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience. Is it Jaw Pain or something more?
